The KBDA Junior School is where dance begins for our youngest children in Hook, Hampshire. Our Saturday Jewel Dance Programme offers an age-appropriate introduction to music, movement and dance through Little Stars (Amber) and Little Explorers (Coral).

Little Stars gives younger children the opportunity to enjoy music and movement alongside a parent or caregiver. Classes use songs, props and imaginative activities to develop confidence, coordination and familiarity with the class environment.

In Little Explorers, children begin dancing independently and discover a wider range of dance styles. They explore ballet, tap and modern foundations alongside lively street dance-inspired moves, creative movement and rhythm activities.

Both classes combine clear routines with imagination and play. As children progress, they develop musicality, movement recall, coordination, and the confidence to participate with greater independence.

Families are invited to Watching Days during the year to see what the children have been learning. Children also receive certificates upon completing key stages of their KBDA Junior School journey.
