What Our Families Say
At KBDA, we are proud to have built a supportive and inspiring community of dancers and their families. Hear directly from them about their experiences, achievements, and the lasting impact of our inclusive dance education. These heartfelt testimonials highlight the joy, growth, and confidence we strive to nurture in every student.
Bethany loves all her classes at KBDA. She really enjoys all the different dance styles, ballet, tap, modern, acro and contemporary. They are all delivered by amazing teachers with tons of enthusiasm and amazing creativity. She comes home from each lesson eager to show us what she has been learning. She has made some great friends and so have I – the school is a very friendly and supportive community.

It was a big decision for me to move dance schools, but I am happy I did. I was very nervous at first, but all the girls are really nice, and made me feel welcome. I am able to do my Ballet, Acro and Contemporary Grades all at one school. I love all the teachers, and Miss Karen is lovely, is a great teacher and encourages you to work to the best of your ability. Even though it is quite a long journey for us it is definitely worth it. I am very happy at KBDA.

Our daughter has been dancing with Karen and the team for over six years, having joined KBDA when she was just two and a half years old. Looking back, it's incredible to see how much she has grown during that time. She started with ballet, tap and modern, and has since discovered a love for jazz, greek, musical theatre and street. Every week, dance is her happy place. She comes home smiling, inspired and excited to go back.
While she's developed strong technical skills, what has impressed us most is everything she's gained beyond dance. We've watched her confidence flourish, her resilience grow, and become someone who isn't afraid to challenge herself. She's learned that exams aren't something to fear, but an opportunity to show what she can do. She's become comfortable receiving feedback, learning from it, and supporting others too. The creativity, freedom of movement and discipline she experiences every week have given her skills and qualities that are already benefiting her at school and, we believe, will stay with her throughout life.
One of the things we value most is the community Karen has created. Our daughter has an amazing support network outside of school, and a team of teachers who genuinely know her, understand her and bring out the very best in her. We're incredibly grateful to Karen and the whole team for everything they've done over the years. KBDA has become so much more than a dance school to our family, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a nurturing, inspiring and supportive place for their child to grow.

Since joining the KBDA family, my Son has grown in ways I never thought possible. Going from a boy who wouldn’t leave my side to performing and competing on stage in front of hundreds. We have Karen and her excellent tutors to thank for this.
KBDA has supported him in all aspects of his dancing from Acro to Ballet, tap and modern and now to Musical Theatre where he has also done his RAD exam.
He is due to start his first year as a junior associate at the Royal Ballet School, again something that wouldn’t have been possible without Karen’s continued support and guidance. I am so grateful to her and her team for encouraging him to shine and would highly recommend the dance school to anyone thinking of joining. Thank you again.

My daughter LOVES her dance classes, they are creative and fun but disciplined. She first started ballet as a very shy and timid 4-year-old. Miss Karen and her wonderful teachers have nurtured her and helped build her confidence over the 4 years she has been dancing with KBDA.In taking the time to get to know her, the team have guided her and helped work through her nerves, recognise her strengths and see her potential; so much so she has recently passed her Grade 1 RAD ballet exam and even performs solo on stage - something I never thought I’d see!

My daughter Evie, now 13 has been attending KBDA since she was 2.5 years old and still loves every moment! What she gains out of attending KBDA is so much more than just attending her weekly dance classes. The long lasting friendships she has gained outside of school are precious to her and the support that she receives from Karen. I can’t thank KBDA enough for everything they do. They are kind, supportive and nurturing and take each child as an individual looking at their all round needs of friendships, wellbeing and happiness as well as teaching important skills as discipline, confidence and everything else that comes with dance and musical theatre.
