Year Seven - Nine
Dance Classes

Years 7 to 9 dancers at KBDA benefit from an advanced, versatile programme that includes Ballet, Modern, Tap, Musical Theatre, Acro, Street Dance and enriching Sunday sessions to refine their technique and expand their performance skills across multiple genres.

Dance Education for
Year Seven - Nine Children

Students in Years 7 to 9 at Karen Blackburn Dance Academy enjoy a comprehensive and diverse curriculum, offering a wide range of classes across multiple dance genres to provide a broad and well-rounded dance education.

At this stage, dancers working at the RAD Grade 4 level have the opportunity to progress into the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Intermediate Foundation vocational grades, deepening their classical ballet training and technical skills.

To support individual development and exam preparation, private coaching sessions are available for Ballet, Tap, and Modern dance, allowing students to receive tailored guidance and refine their technique under expert instruction.

Supplementary Sunday Studio sessions provide additional opportunities to explore new styles, deepen skills, and enhance performance confidence, complementing the weekday classes and enriching the overall dance experience.

KBDA continues to offer assessments and examinations across various dance styles, but participation remains optional, aligning with each dancer’s personal goals and aspirations.

With a strong emphasis on technical excellence, creativity, and performance, our Year 7 to 9 programme nurtures dancers’ growth and prepares them for advanced training opportunities, while fostering a lifelong love of dance within a supportive and inspiring environment.
