About Our Classes
At Year 10, students can work towards examinations or recreational study. Students now working at higher grades or vocational levels must attend a minimum of set classes a week to cover the syllabus or attend regular coaching lessons outside of the normal timetable. Many of these genres carry UCAS points for those who wish to apply to university.
Students at this age are placed in classes according to ability and not age, but this will depend on the dance style taken. In many cases, especially in disciplines such as Musical Theatre and Contemporary, students can attend lessons with their peers with no previous experience. We are always happy to discuss options with you if you are a late-starter to dance.
Private coaching classes are available for those wanting to work towards examinations in Ballet, Tap or Modern
Assessments and exams are offered across many of these genres but the decision to take them is always optional.
